CHAMPS International originated in Bosnia and Herzegovina three years ago in 2006. Inspired by New Hampshire young student leader Bianca Streep and the Bosnian Ambassador to the United States Dr Bisera Turkovic, this exciting program has been successfully helping young landmine survivors throughout Bosnia.

Maria Trlng of the Bosnian Mine Detection Dog Center (MDDC) leads the CHAMPS International Bosnia project for all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Three Bosnian schools are linked with five American schools with the program and is expected to expand, yet again, in 2009.
