Little Safa has been adopted by the Grace Christian School in Stamford, CT. She was playing outside her grandmother's home just outside of Jalalabad when her foot found a mine. Her life ws devestated. Within months of her being identified by the CHAMPS Team in Afghanistan little Safa had her first prosthetic leg. That was last year in 2010. Because she had grown so much (as kids tend to do) she needed a new leg by Christmas 2010. The Grace Christian School, a small elementary school of 50 or so children, raised over $1,000 for little Safa's new leg. By March 2011 Safa had her 2d leg and runs and plays like other children, her life has been changed forever because of the generous caring children of the little school in Stamford.
